FORUM hands control of ForumOnline to the people who use it. A vote on how the protocol runs — not a financial product, and not something you can buy.
FORUM is not for sale.
FORUM is not currently for sale, and no offer, solicitation, or sale of the token is being made by ForumOnline or any authorized representative at this time. ForumOnline does not sell tokens directly to individuals, and there is no official sale, presale, or private offering underway.
If any individual, website, social media account, or other third party claims to be selling FORUM, requesting payment in exchange for it, or offering early access or allocations — it is a scam. Do not send funds or share personal information with anyone claiming to sell the token.
Any official information regarding token distribution will be communicated exclusively through the project's official communication channels.
The FORUM token is a digital asset whose main purpose is to let the ForumOnline community make collective decisions about the future development of the project. It is a way for the founders of ForumOnline to gradually transfer control of the project to its community. Instead of a small group making all the decisions forever, decision-making power can increasingly be shared with the people who use, contribute to, and support the project. Over time, the community can take a larger role in deciding how the project evolves.
In future, FORUM holders will be granted the capacity to propose, deliberate on, and vote for changes to protocol parameters, smart contract upgrades, treasury allocations, and other matters of protocol policy, with voting power proportional to the number of tokens held or delegated.
The FORUM token is not a financial instrument, security, investment product, or investment offering. It is intended solely as a governance mechanism to enable participation in the decision-making process of the project.
Whoever governs the platform decides what gets promoted and which rules apply. That should be the people who use it, not a company.
With governance rights held as on-chain tokens, nobody — including the founding team — can rewrite the rules alone or take the platform somewhere its members oppose.
A nonprofit entity holds assets, signs contracts and handles everything that has to happen off-chain. Its management answers to the protocol's governance, so token holders keep the final say.
FORUM is introduced through two genesis events.
Rewards participation and pays for the infrastructure that keeps the network running.
For the team, early contributors and backers. This is also when the token becomes the governance mechanism and the remaining supply questions are settled by governance.
Every slice is a group of people, not a line item. Hover to see the share.
Not a giveaway. Every token is attached to something a person or a machine actually did.
Every new verified human gets a grant. Earlier participants get more — the amount steps down as the network grows.
Stake FORUM, get paid for verified work: publishing votes, uptime, catching faults. Priced per unit of work.
For the people who break the network before real users do. Scored and paid after each testnet season.
Reserved for rewarding people who bring others in, for prize pools on initiatives, and for community prizes. Rules announced separately.
A one-time claim for people who took part before the token existed: voters, authors, contributors, translators, and the first testnet operators.
Program sizes are governance parameters, not commitments to any individual. They can change, and every distribution is published.
The address appears here once the contract is deployed and verified. Until then, any address presented as FORUM is not ours.
This page describes the intended design of the FORUM token. It is not legal, tax or investment advice, and not an offer to sell anything.
